What is ADD & ADHD
The exact definition of what makes up attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD) is a controversial topic. It seems as though every medical professional has a different definition of what this disease is. ADD is often confused or used interactively with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). These are the cases that generally do need some help. • Engage in exercises that encourage focus and boost mood like dance, aerobic exercise, swimming, martial arts or yoga.
• Get adequate sleep; room should be dark and without blue light from electronic devices.
• Spend more time outdoors in nature.
• Avoid over-exposure to metals, especially lead from fresh paint and markers; avoid exposure to commercial chemicals in house cleaning products and lawn applications.
Dietary Tips and Caveats for living with ADD and ADHD:
• Reduce sugar; eliminate high fructose corn syrup, food additives and GMO ingredients.
